WIPRO PAPER ON 11th NOVEMBER

 

Hi everyone.....Myself is MAYUR AGARAWAL.I got placed in wipro on 11-11-2006. it was a pool campus which was held in PES COLLEGE in MANDYA. Thanks to all who gave information about the paper pattern in FRESHERS WORLD.The most important thing which was unexpected that the QUESTIONS were entirely different from previovs paper.the pattern was same as follows-:
VERBAL-: 15 QUESTION
ANALYTICAL- : 15 QUESTION
TECHNICAL-: 20 QUESTION
TIME DURATION - 1 HOUR
I m from MECHANICAL.. in technical they were mainly concentrating on the basic C from non IT students.
TOTAL CANDIDATES PARTICIPATED- 1200 FROM 15 DIFF. COLLEGES
SHORTLISTED FOR TECH. INTERVIEW- Near around 200
SHORTLISTED FOR HR. INTERVIEW - Near 100
FINAL SELECTION -  77
 The question which i remember were-
(ANALYTICAL)
1. The av. marks obtained by students is 50.but due to computer mistake.the marks of 100 student was 60 instead of 90. and the average comes down to 45. what is the strength of the class?
2.The monthly income of A, B, & C is in the ratio 3:4:5. A saves Rs. 600, which is also 10% of his earning.If their savings is in the ratio 1:2:3. then how much money C spend each month?
3.Find out the wrong no. in series....dont remember,,sorry
4.A man on the top of a vertical observationtower observes a car moving at a uniform speed coming directly towards it.If it takes 10 min. for the angle of depression to change from 30 to 60 degree.How soon after this will the car reach the observation tower ?
5.A B & C can complete a work separately in 15, 20 & 30 days respectively. They stared the work but A left 4 days before the completion of the work while B left 5 days before the completion..In how many days will the work be completed?
6.A man invested Rs. 40000 in a business.he earns 10%, 15%, & 20% respectevely on the previous year amount.what will be his total earning in 3 years?
7.One problem was on normal distribution.....it was unexpected.
8.One question was on logical reasoning
9.One question was on finding out the relation.
This much i have in my memory...hope it will help u.
 In VERBAL. the pattern was totally different. no ACTIVE-PASSIVE, no DIRECT-INDIRECT, no WORD PAIRS or ANALOGY.
THE QUESTION WERE FROM- 1 FROM PUNCTUATION, 2 QUES. WERE OF CHECK THE SPELL LIKE MALICIOUS....N ONE OF TO RE ARRANGE THE SENTENCES IN ORDER....N REMAINING WERE TO FIND OUT THE SIMILAR MEANING OF A WORD IN A SENTENCE...N FILL IN THE BLANKS WITH SUITABLE WORDS....

And from TECHNICAL....I dont remember the question as i belongs to MECHANICAL.

In TECHNICAL interview, he asked me first to give a brie intro...n then he asked me what is ur fav. subject....i told AUTOMOTIVE...
HE: Tell me how a 4-s engine works.
ME: Explained.
HE:Diff. b/w 2-s & 4-s engine.
NXT QUES. was what r the factors u will take in to the consideration in designing an aeroplane.
NXT QUES. on what factor is milage of a vehicle depends
NXT QUES. what is OPERATING SYSTEM?
NXT QUES. what r the diff. data types?
NXT QUES. asked me a puzzle.
n then he gave me HR FORM which means i cleared theTECHNICAL..

In HR interview, she asked me very simple n general question.
1st ques. why did u join this college
2nd: why u come to karnataka. u can get admission in ur place or isome other state.....(as i m from UP, THATS Y SHE ASKED ME THIS)
3RD:why u joined MECHANICAL?
4TH: now why u want to join software field?
