wipro technology aptitude pattern

Hi all,

I had attended Wipro Technology’s drive  in Cochin.It was a referral drive.It was for 2011 passouts.

There were different batches. My batch had 120-150 candidates.

Written Test has 3 sections

Verbal, Analytical & Technical

Cutoffs were there for each section. Cutoff was high, as only 10-15 from 150 candidates were shortlisted for interview.

Verbal                               

Idioms and phrases .Some of the questions were directly from Agarwal!

Sentences were given with some part underlined, we had to substitute for the underlined part  from the options.

Antonyms(3 in number) (Very difficult!  , the words were not heard at all..  even suspected the existence of such words..)

Word :: another word , these type questions (relation type ) were also asked.

There were no passages at all !!

Aptitude

Time and work

( 3 persons working for 62 hours completed a task , relations of individual working hours of 2 sets of persons also  given, from this we had to find the individual working hours of one person among them)

Puzzles (when solving puzzles, get an overall idea first, then look for the question and its choices too.. ,sometimes we can guess the answer very easily..

Time and distance ( only one question..

passages of 5/6 lines were given and we had to find the sentence which clearly support (or oppose in some questions) the idea of the passage were also there.. atleast 4 questions were like this.

A rectangle whose length 4 m is given , find the side of the square formed out from this rectangle by equally partioning the area of the rectangle into 2 squares………!! (easy ques na..i don’t know why such simple questions was asked..and I am sorry if I had misinterpreted the meaning of the question..

Some boys and girls were playing , after some time 15 boys left ,then there were 2 boys each for a girl , then after some time 45 girls left , then there were x (sorry! I don’t remember exact value)  boys for each girl..so find out the no: of boys (or girls) who were present at first..    (like these so many questins were there..)

Don’t get tensed by the length of the questions,they may be simple..

But beware about the tricky data hidden among the sentences.

Technical

I had referred a lot of websites prior to my test inorder to get the questions asked by wipro in its technical section, but I was unable to find much..Everywhere it was saying that questions were so simple and anyone could answer it ..

 but I had decided to memorise the questions. There were 10 questions

My answer was.. huu,,that too forgot.

I don’t remember the tenth ques..

Just study or revise basic concepts like these..

I thought they would select a good no: of students..but later I knew that there plan was to select a few..
