TCS PAPER ON 28th MARCH AT BHUBANESWAR

TCS visited our campus on 28th of March 2007.. for an ON CAMPUS DRIVE.. The whole process started at 9 am in the morning and was finished till 11 pm in the night. The result was declared the next day at 11 Am..

TOTAL WRITTEN CLEARED = 272
TOTAL TECHNICAL INTERVIEW CLEARED =202
FINALLY SELECTED =180
luckily i am one of them.
Selection Procedure
It consisted of 3 phases..
Phase 1: Written Test (80 Questions)
Phase 2: Technical Interview
Phase 3: HR/MR Interview..
WRITTEN TEST 80 Questions (1 Hr 30 mins)
SECTION 1 :ENGLISH
As always it consisted of 10 synonyms and 10 antonyms..1 fill in the blanks(about fungi and plants) (5 questions) one passege from BARRONS 12th edition(5 marks)

QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE
It consisted of 38 qustions....And the best part was that each and every question was repeated from previous papers..So go through as many online papers as possible and Quanti is the easiest part..
Every question had 5 bits....a bit diffrent..

2 .It was about the paintings ie " THE RYDER RETROSPECTION " ,and others in the meuseum
3. About forming a commitee of three from a big college and small collge ...such that the commmetie will be represented by atleast 2 from big college..proffesor names and branches were given...
4. about some delegates

5. one was about the distance of travel between 2 cties...through various routes..n which one is cheapest...
TECHNICAL/MR INTERVIEW
It was a cakewalk...
1. The guy handed me a piece of paper and asked me to write program to reverse charecter string and factorial (using recursion)...gave me 10 mins then asked me to explain) which i did gleefully.
2 . Asked me the diff between C & C++
thats it no more tech..
MR
3. What would you do if u are rejected ? ans : said i will look back at my performance and turn my -ve points into my +ve points)...
4. Asked me 1-2 questions about family..
then asked me if i had any questions..
i asked him about there recent aquisition FNS and the impact of its product BANCS on TCS home-bred QUARTZ ?
he answered me nicely..gave a big smile .an offered to shake his hands..
HR interview
he saw my marks....and asked whether i was a topper..?
I answered no and then he asked in which subject i had fared badly...
I answered English..?
He asked whether I was weak in english ?
I answered him that i am very strong in english vocabs & language...But its my poor handwritting that fetched me poor marks ..as english teachers are purists..
Then he asked what i am doing to improve it...?
I said now i am very busy with my college syllabus and am giving it my top priority...and my marks reflect that.
then he asked me if i could copy my signature in my CV to piece of paper...?
i signed ..But he repeatedly asked my i was correct....I confidently answered that I have a bank account since last 1 year and i do transactions frequntly...He seemed impressed..
Then he asked me about my hobbies ..all of which i answered confidently...
SO GUYS JUST BE CONFIDENT...AND REST IS EASY......
