TCS PAPER ON 5th MARCH AT KOLKATA
Hi, I am Tirthankar from Heritage Institute of technology ,Kolkata. TCS came to our college on 5th of march..The selection procedure was the usual one
1.Aptitude test
2.Technical interview
3.HR
The aptitude paper had three parts
- VERBAL: easy one 10 synonyms,10 antonyms,6-7 questions from a passage,5-6 fill in the blanks from a passage. GRE Barrons is enough for this section
- QUANTITATIVE: The most easiest one ,problems from time and work,coding,base no conversion ,logical venn diagrams ,pie charts,one latitude longitude problem!,etc R.S. Agarwal is more than enough for this section
- LOGICAL REASONING: Easy one ,just good practice is needed any good book on logical reasoning will be enough for this section
Then came my Technical interview. I am from electonics and instrumentation department so mainly the questions were from my department. The questions were
- Introduce yourself
- Why software(as I was from a different field)
- Tell me something on c language
- Few things on microprocessor programming
- What is a JK flipflop? Explain its working
- What is XOR gate
- Implement it with AND & OR gates
- What is control system
- Where is it implemented
- What are the different types of controllers
- Different types of control system
Then came the HR interview
- Tell me something about urself
- Why TCS & not WIPRO(as I had already been selected for WIPRO)
- What are urstrength ,how will it help TCS
- What are urweakness
- Why will TCS hire u
This is all I have to say 108 students were selected from our college and I was one of them.
