Interview-HR Interview

TCS came to my college, JNTU-H, on the 17th December for campus recruitment. It was a three day process. 17 was the written exam and for those who got selected for the same the technical and HR interviews were held on the next two days. TCS sometimes gives the benifit of wild card entries, meaning all the students have been having a consistent record of 75% and above right from matriculation (tenth std) till date can appear for the interview directly, i.e there is no written exam for these students. This priviledge may not be given all the time in all colleges, its purely up to them (TCS).

Our college was given this opportunity and their were around 210 wild card entry students and they directly attended the technical and HR interviews. The written exam by TCS is very simple if hte previous papers are practised. 99% of the time they give the same questions or the same model. They have introduced online tests now. There will be 35 questions to be answered in 1 hour.

In my technical interview I was questioned mostly on C ( because I have an electronics background & didn't know any other language). Most of the questions asked were definitions, representations and simple programs. The interviewer asked why I didn't learn any other language and how I would cope up with my peers if recruited. I honestly answered him telling," I had my own subjects and curriculum to be learnt and other extra curricular activities kept me busy.

Learning software languages from institutes out was not done  because it was never a necessity for me. But yes, if I am put in an environment which demands knowledge in such area then in order to survive, I would certainly learn them and give in my best. "He seemed to be pleased with my answer. He then asked me a puzzle which I couldn't figure out. Later he asked if there were any questions I wanted to ask and that was the end.

In my HR interview, it was

1) Tell me about yourself?
2) How about your amily and siblings, What are they doing?
3) Where is your native, describe your native in 2 or 3 sentences?
4) Why TCS?
5) You know just C, how will you manage?
6) Your dream Company?
7) Your passion in life and about other things  mentioned in my resume?
8) Any problem if placed anywhere?

It was a good experience, I have attneded many companies before but this was the first one which took me to the final stage.

Good Luck Guys, everyone has something good written for them. Trust In God and never lose Hope.
