TCS PAPER ON 28th OCTOBER AT BANGALORE

 

HI.....FRIENDS....

         I wanna share my experience how i got placed in TCS.Firstly,I wanna thank freshersworld.com for helpin me a lot for getting into my dream company..

 

              

Verbal Section:
               prepare from barrons 13th edition..concentrate on high freq words of A,C,P,S,R and glance others..i got around 15 out of 30 questions from these alphabets which helped me alot to clear the first round.there will be two passages first read the questions and then see the passage..

               jus prepare prev question papers thoroughly..and practice aptitude part in barrons..more than enough..

               read all passages from model question papers from barrons 13th edition..few of my frens got two passages from it..it will be a bit tough jus concentrate don wast more time on one passage itself..

 

                  I was scheduled at 11am but had been called for interview at 3.30pm..i kept myself cool and entered the panel and prepared myself for the usual questions like TELL ME ABT UR SELF AND ABT PROJECT.. but my interview turned out in a very different way..they were two in my panel..they looked to my resume thoroughly..and started to ask questions like..

Int: which companies u attended previously?

Me: companies like wipro,l n t...(n few more companies)

Int: what went wrong?why were'nt u selected?

Me: said tht i was bad at aptitude so was finding difficult to get thr'.

Int: wat steps did u take to overcome?

Me: i said tht i kept on practising aptitude n tech things continously by scheduling myself daily n thts how i got thr' TCS..

Int: did u visit FRESHERSWORLD.COM?

Me: (i was terribly shocked by this question n got tensed a bit) said yes mam!

Int: then its easy to get through TCS aptitude na?

Me: said tht it helps for quantitative part alot but verbal n critical section no one say wat will come n thts most difficult part in TCS paper as it will be in gre level..only quant alone will not help to get thr' as its overall cutoff..

Int: (quiet convinced)wat is data base?diff btwn dbms n r dbms?

Me: said the defn of both..

Int: wat is operating systems?

Me: said the defn in breif..

Int: wat is linux freeware?  

Me: i said i don know much abt linux n i don abt linux freeware n said wat i know abt linux..

Int: she explained tht linux freeware is nothin but as code for linux is available internet thts called freeware..

Int: write a prgm for string concatenation without 3rd variable?

Me: wrote in two ways i know but she was not satisfied and asked me the way she want me to write i said i dont know tht way..

Int: asked a puzzle like 100 mango trees in a sq ft area n shud paint each by numbering them.question was to paint five trees how many times u wil paint them?(sort of).

Me: said wat i understood..

Int: asked how many 5's r there btwn 1 to 100?

Me: i counted in front of them and said..

Int: are u ready to go any where for job?

Me: said yes..

Int: do u know abt bond?

Me: yes mam!

Int: u may go check ur results on net.

                said thank you and left the panel.it was jus for 20mins..i was sure tht i ll not get thr'.i was broken completely as i thot i dint get thr' so they dint sent to hr.as few of my frens had hr and mr also.results were announced after ten days. was surprised to see my name in the list.then i realised i had it together..they conduct dependin on time constraint not to be worried .best part wat i did is i kept smiling n answering confidently..jus try ur best and leave the rest to god..thts wat make u keep going..

 

THATS HOW I GOT PLACED IN ASIA'S NO 1 COMPANY..I AM VERY VERY HAPPY THAT I WILL BE WORKIN IN MY DREAM COMPANY..
