I am going to tell you about my experience of TCS off campus recruitment drive conducted in Veltech, Chennai.

First aptitude test: 35 questions with negative marking. Guys its enough that you go through the previous papers in freshersworld and you understand how to do the problem. The data might vary but the logic is the same. I will post some of the problems:

1) Two tanks A and B fills up blah blah... B fills up 1/16th of a tank in 10 hours. how much time it will take to fill the complete the complete tank?
2) The train problem- the train can make 10 different sounds , but now it has a defect so it can make only 2 different sounds. How many sounds can it make it in 5 intervals or so?
3) Then a simple (a-b)2 = a2+b2+-2ab based problem..

That is all i can remember.
Guys here is the main trick to crack the test.
1. Go through some 10 to 15 test papers given here in freshersworld website.
2.When you are appearing for the test some big story will be given. Ignore the story and skip to the end where the real problem is. Skip the problem if you are not sure of the answer.

 

I cleared the test easily and my interview was on the next day 10:30 am i was called only at 4:30 pm and i was asked about my current job as i am a 2009 passed out. Some technical questions about my job. Thats all. I got my temporary offer letter at 5:30 pm. I was at cloud nine.

So guys prepare thoroughly  and crack the TCS test.
