Candidate-Experiences
Hi Guys/Gals,
Well, i'm B K Wadhwa appeared for TCS Joint Campus on 22nd August 2010 in Gr Noida. It was a great experience for me because the management done by TCS was of great level.
First of all let me know some important things you should make clear regarding TCS.
1. Only those candidates can appear for TCS joint campus who have got hall ticket from TCS itself.
2. Attend TCS only if you fulfill the criteria decided by TCS.
3. Collect each & every bit of info, happenings regarding TCS before appearing for Test from www.tcs.com.
4. If you have break in studies you must have a strong reason, otherwise they won't negotiate.
Now coming on to the rounds. TCS has following rounds for you:
CBT 35 questions. Aptitude and a couple of puzzles. For this round, you need to have good quantitative aptitude.
Algebra
In-equations, Quadratic and linear equations, functions, Logarithm Geometry, Mensuration and solid Geometry. Geometry (Lines, angles, Triangles, Spheres, Rectangles, Cube, Cone etc),Mensuration, Co-ordinate geometry.
Arithmetic
Ratios and Proportion, Ratios, Percentages, Profit & Loss, Averages, Percentages, Partnership, Time-Speed-Distance, Work and time, Number system, HCF, LCM, Geometric Progression, Arithmetic progression, Arithmetic mean, Geometric mean, Harmonic mean, Median, Mode, Number Base System, BODMAS, Al ligation & Mixtures, Work, Pipes and Cisterns, Simple Interest & Compound Interest, Installment Payments, Clocks.
Result of this round was announced with in one hour. I was through the written test process and was intimaded about the date of next round in TCS Office.
Technical
Each and every subject of my MCA was covered in it with major emphasis on C, C++, Database, Software Engineering, Java, Operating System, SDLC, Major Project etc.
Managerial Round: Was full of situational questions and all questions concerned with my hobbies.
HR round: Was also hectic & covered each and everything about studies, interests, choice of school/college, strengths, weaknesses etc. Also questons like why TCS.
After 3 days, i got a mail from TCS regarding selection.
