Hi friends this is noor ahmed from svu. 
I appeared for sail exam on 14th july 2013 here 
Iam sharing a little experiences so that it can help you while preparing. 

Section-1 
Technical:100 the technical questions are easier and almost all are of theory type..
some are just full forms like FMS stand for? nearly 30 bits are from industrial management and some are from game plays...
I missed this topic while preparing so you go through the management questions like organisation key role... 

Section -2 
In this section 25-gk 25-eng 25-aptitude 25-reasoning. gk 
This section I felt a little bit tough they are not so much tough if one have a gk knowledge. mostly abt rivers crops and some questions about history like world war and abut qutubuddin aibak... 
Eng 
This is also easy but this kills a lot of time in reading passages which effects for next section i.e 

Aptitude 
most of bits are from percentages 15 almost ...and speed and accuracy is required for this section and almost for all we can get answers.... reasoning:::::: this is also time taking...management of time and speed is necessary in second section.. all the best for sail aspirants
