                                  OPSC Exam Paper Pattern and Syllabus

                                                      The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) is the conducting organization for the recruitment of eligible candidates in different state administrative services through the state level civil services competitive exam held for all the candidates every year. The candidates preparing for the OPSC Civil Services Exam may go through the details of the exam including the paper pattern and question marking scheme from the information as given below.

Pattern of Exam:

The OPSC Exam is conducted in the following three levels:
1. Preliminary exam
2. Main exam and
3. Interview Exam respectively

Scheme of Examination:

The Preliminary Exam of the OPSC Civil Services has two main papers on the following topics:

 

Paper I: GS (General Studies) and

 

Paper II: Optional Paper from any one of the following subjects: Agricultural Engineering, Anthropology, Civil Engineering, Botany, Chemistry, Economics, Physics, Sociology, History, Geology, Law, Physiology, Home Science, Electrical Engineering, Geology, Forestry, Geography, Civil Engineering, Management, Statistics, Fishery Sciences and Education respectively.

Main Exam: Paper Scheme

 

The main exam will be done after the candidate has qualified in the first level i.e. Preliminary Exam. The main examination has the following 9 papers to be qualified for getting selected in the second level of exam. These include the following:

Paper I: Oriya language (300 Marks)

Paper II: English (300 Marks)
Paper III: English Essay (200 Marks)
Paper IV: General Studies I (300 Marks)
Paper V: General Studies II (300 Marks)
Paper VI, VII, VIII and IX will be based on the optional subjects from any of the following subjects:
Agriculture, Botany, Animal Husbandry, Psychology, Statistics, Animal Husbandry, Forestry, Anthropology, Geography, Education, Indian Language, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Management, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Economics, Philosophy, Physics, Fisheries Sciences, Home Science and Law respectively
