Mu Sigma is a management consulting firm that primarily offers analytics services. Mu sigma recruites every year a large number of candidates. This paper contains selection procedure of Mu-Sigma which gives the students an idea about how to prepare for Mu-Sigma recruitements.
Mu-Sigma Selection Procedure
Candidates having completed their bachelor degree in engineering from any of the reputed institutions are eligible to participate in the on campus/off campus drive of Mu-Sigma. Such candidates must have completed the course with a minimum of 60% marks. Usually fresh candidates are considered for recruitment. Final year/ pre final year students can also participate in the selection process. Aspirants with good communication skills are preferred. Also eligible candidate must be free of backlog papers up to their present semester of study.
The company adopts a three stage process for the selection of eligible personnel.

* HR Interview
Written Aptitude Test
There will be a total of 20 questions for the written test. Questions for the section are meant to evaluate the analytical and logical skill of the candidate. In the section, students can expect questions related to averages, calendar, ages, ratios and time and work. Also there will be questions on verbal ability, reasoning, data sufficiency and data interpretation. Total time allotted for the completion of the section is 25 minutes. To pass through the section, candidate needs to attend a specific number of questions from each type. A minimum of 3 questions are required to attempt from each type of verbal ability, data interpretation and numerical ability, to get a pass. Sometimes there will be an essay test for 10 marks immediately after the written test.
Those who get selected in the written test can appear for group discussion. This is an elimination round where 2-3 persons will be selected out of 10. The communication as well as management skills of the participants are evaluated here. To win the session, it is better to express ideas in as few words as possible. Also candidates should be positive and should not be arrogant.
The final stage for selection is HR interview. In some cases there will be technical interview also, depending on the job profile. The personality, attitude, ability of the person to work under stressful situations are evaluated here.
