INFOSYS PAPER ON 01st FEBRUARY AT NOIDA

Hello friends,i hope this will help u a lot.I got placed in Infosys.

well the pattern was exactly the same as we see in exams held in 2007.

The written exam was divided into two sections :
1)Aptitude (refer VERBAL AND NON VERBAL RS AGARWAL)
2)English (was general , you may not need any reference if  your command over spoken english is average)

To sum up the process,we were firstly asked to fill a simple application form.
Do remember to take a passport size photo as it is required to be submitted alongwith the form.
After that we were given the aptitude paper first.

APTITUDE
It comprised of 30 ques to be solved in a span of 40 mins.
There were 6 questions with approx 5 subparts each..
As opposed to the regular trend we did not get any ques frm cube and dices, though u shud prepare it.

The sections we got are as follows :
1)Puzzle - involved two cricketers, batting scores were given, sumthin like dat (Do PUZZLE-SECTION 1 General mental ability from RS AGARWAL)
2)Series - We were given 4 figures,we had to find the 5th figure in series(Do SERIES-PART II  Non verbal reasoning RS AGARWAL)
3)Puzzle Again
4)Data Sufficiency (Do DATA SUFFICIENCY-SECTION 1 General mental ability from RS AGARWAL)
5)LOGIC - SECTION-II LOGIC REASONING RS AGARWAL,DO EXERCISE 1A COMPLETELY)
6)Data Interpreation - Practice from "quantitative aptitude by RS AGARWAl )

ADVICE :
1)Do not waste time practicing DATA INTERPRETATION as thequestion u will get to solve will be lengthy. So neither practice it nor waste time attempting it in exam.If u hav time Left only then attempt it.
2)DO prepare PUZZLE from RS agarwal verbal and non verbal reasoning, its in section1.
3)For LOGIC , practice all the 9 rules which are stated in the book.Though its time consuming to practice it, u shud put some time and hard work in it..it will pay in the end as the ques are easy to solve and just need presence of mind.
4)well as for the syllabus i would recommend u to thoroughly go thru the following chapters :
"VERBAL AND NON VERBAL REASONING BY RS AGARWAL"

SECTION 1 - GENERAL MENTAL ABILITY
1)Blood relations
2)Puzzle test
3)Logical Venn Diagrams (very very easy, don't waste much time)
4)Ranking and time sequence Test
5)Data Sufficiency

SECTION 2 - LOGIC REASONING
1)Logic (just do exercise 1A and memorise all 9 rules)

SECTION 3 -NON-VERBAL REASONING
1)SERIES (just practice some of them, these kind of questions depend on the fact that waha pe strike hota hain ya nahin..i din practice it much.)
2)Cubes And Dices
"QUANTITATIVE APTITUDE BY RS AGARWAL"
1)Data Interpretation
There were no different sets for the exam,we all got the same set of questions with exactly same choices.

ENGLISH
English -40 Ques- 35mins
It was pretty simple. IT comprised of the following :
1)2 COMPREHENSIONS

2)Some fill in the blanks and rest of the questions.

English was quite easy. You just need to concentrate and read carefully.
