hi frndz.. this is swathi.. I AM RECENTLY PLACED IN INFOSYS.. AND ITS REALLY A GREAT TIME TO BE AN INFOSCION.I AM GONNA TELL U THE AREAS IN WHICH AM TESTED.
TEST HAS NON-VERBAL REASONING + VERBAL
NON-VERBAL==40 QUESTIONS AND VERBAL==30 QUESTIONS
TEST PROCEDURE:
FIRST GENERAL APTITUDE:
IN THIS ONLY REASONING IS TESTED:
1)FIGURE SERIES: like finding the odd one out (easy)
2)DATA SUFFICIENCY: (have some practice from r.s agarwal)
3)DATA INTERPRETATION: which is a bit tough (and i did not attempt it at all if u want can c at least)
4)PUZZLS ON SEATING ARRANGEMENTS:( i think altogether 10 questions are asked in this area.. easily can b answered)
5)SYLLOGISMS:can do very easily.. with in 5 seconds..5 questions for all the above refer R.S AGARWAL its more than enough..
VERBAL:
it is a bit tough.its better to go thru some grammar rules in wren n martin.the questions are based on correction of sentences, completion n theme detection (everything on the rules if u know perfectly then u can answer) reading comprehensions: time is not at all sufficient to do this i did not even attempt this..
then we have waited for the results. after the results we have waited for a long time for HR interview.. and my turn has come last
GENERAL INTERVIEW:
i'll juss pose some questions that u have faced.all the questions that are asked are only behaviourial questions
hr: hi swathi,get in plz..a very late evening..
me: gud evening sir..!!
hr: i am gonna test u only in verbal communication and logical ability no situations and puzzles..
me: thankq sir..
hr: i am giving u 3 topics select one of them and talk about that (gave me one n half min time)
me: selected one and spoke about that (he is satisfied with that)
hr: he asked me to tell about my college
me: answered
hr: asked to tell about myself with in one sentence
me: answered n he is very much satisfied (answered as I AM A STUDENT WHO BELIEVE IN "I CAN IS BETTER THAN IQ")
hr: asked some questions on my poicy that i told
me: answered
hr: asked about my fav subject
me: told n also explained y..
hr: asked about the things that i contributed to my college
me: answered by saying that i participated in my college activities
HR: asked about the papers that i presented and asked to explain about that
me: explained
hr: asked me to tell things that i learnt myself other than taught by my faculty
me: told that i learnt complete core java but refering to the complete reference txt buk
hr: asked me to tell about 3 things that i learnt behaviourially from mah college
me: adaptability, patience, encouraging
hr: asked to give examples
me: told the answers which happened practically
and finally he asked me any queries n i asked him some questions regarding company and he asked me to w8
after 2 dayz we came to know the results and finally am selected.thats it frndz onl CONFIDENCE is that which will place u in to INFY
