Hi friends, I am Pankaj Verma, CS Final Year Student from Galgotias College Of Engineering and Technology, Gr. Noida. Yesterday, Infosys came to our College. There were more colleges invited.
Statistic: Number of Colleges 3
Number Of students eligible: 280 + 175 + 210 =665
Number Of students who cleared written test: 128 + 32 + 110 = 270
Number Of Students who got finally selected after interview: 110 + 25 + 80 = 215
Selection Procedure: There was no aberration in the test pattern, there were two tests 1 Logical Reasoning + Aptitude and 2 Verbal Ability + Reading Comprehension.
About the tests
1. Reasoning+ Aptitude: The test was pretty easy, there were 30 questions to b done in 40 mins. There were 6 sets of 5 questions each.
First Set : Its about finding five numbers when certain conditions are given like first number is twice the second, third number is 5 more than third blah blah and more blah blah in last one of the number is given which is the initiation of solution.
Second Set : It consists of 5 figure series, they were of average level, if you have ever attempted questions like this than they would fetch u marks.
Third Set : It consists of Data Sufficiency questions, Its the easiest section of Paper, but u must b gud at DS in order to do it.
Fourth Set: It consists of DI, there was a question on Bar Graph, this question is calculation oriented and to b done in last.
Fifth Set: Its a typical Puzzle, students who are good at puzzles can do it easily for others its achilles hill. In fact, I started my paper from this question and it boosts my confidence and gave me a good start.
Sixth Set: Syllogism, pretty easy.
2. Verbal Ability + Reading Comprehension: What only was being checked in this paper is your speed,there were 40 questions to b done in 35 mins, Paper was quite easy, Sentence Correction is being the major portion of the whole paper. There were error checkings that include Tenses Error, Parallelism, Pronoun Error, Modifier Error, Prepostion Error blah blah and more blah.. Students who ever prepared for GMAT or CAT shall not face difficulty in this section. There were questions from Critical Reasoning that too were easy but in some questions options are rather close. There were two passages one is quite lengthy and one is a bit smaller in passages there were questions of inference, assumption.
They didnot tell about sectional cuttoffs but i guess cutoffs sud b around.
Aptitude: 17-18/30
Verbal Ability: 22-23/40
After Written there were HR which was pretty easy, Infact in Infosys Written is the examination of Rejection and HR is the exam of Selection, In HR they ask simple question from CV.
Overall the selection Process was comfortable.
Key Factors: 1. There was no technical at any stage.
2. If you have qualified written than ur probablity of selection is more than 80%.
3. Be honest in preapring your CV.
4. Make friends in Examination Hall.
