Hi friends . I am srikanth of GEC. Infosys had conducted interview on 18 june 2007. Infosys recruitment process has two rounds. This is the easiest recruitment process compared to other companies.
1.WRITTEN TEST.
2.HR INTERVIEW.
WRITTEN TEST
1. Reasoning.
2.verbal section.
Here I will give how i have prepared for Infosys. just take the VERBAL AND NON VERBAL REASONING BY RS AGARWAL.do the topics like syllogism, cubes and dice, relations,puzzle test etc. and also do some CAT material (optional).This is more than enough for reasoning round.before attending the written test also just go through the models in agarwal book.
Next coming to verbal section . Here they won't give questions related to vocabulary. this really fetches us a lot. In my paper they have given Two reading comprehensions and remaing all related to english grammer.They have given Sentence completion,correction of sentences,find the gramatically correct sentences among the given options like that.
For this section just go through the grammer books for correction of sentences. In examination don't concentrate on Rc's unless you complete other parts of the section.
HR INTERVIEW
This hr interview of infosys is very easy compared to other companies. Here they would see our english fluency and attitude and your way of resolving a situation and puzzle solving.
My hr was gone like this.
r: yes, tell me about yourself.
Me: told all about my academic , extracuriicular activities ,bla bla bla.
Hr: Your college is going to conduct an Talent Test and you are asked to organise the event how will you conduct the event.
Me: Told all sort of things that really impresses him very much. Here not only the content of the answer but also your fluency and eye contact will be checked.
Hr: Tell me about your family background.
Me: blaa,bla
Hr: Here is a situation for you . we went deep into the ocean alone in a small boat and you are struck up by the waves and rain and your boat is about to be drowned and Sharks are there around you. what will you do then.
Me: (Belive me he asked this question for more than 4 minutes . I was just maintaining proper eye contact with him with out getting bored and I haven't interrupted him in the middle) I answered well this question.
Hr: Which game do you play
Me:carroms.
Hr: what's that Red coin carroms called as.
Me: (i really don't know about carroms) I said I dont know it I just play carroms when i am leisure.
Freinds my sincere advice to you is just be confident in whatever answer you say and Maintain proper eye contact,Dont look here and there in the Hr room just see the Hr thats all.
I am finally selected in the interview. The statistics are 535 for written out of which 112 went for HR and finally 42 were selected .
