Interview-HR Interview

Hi Everyone!

Infosys came to our college on 8th Janunary, 2011. We were told to report at 9 am but they came late. So the ppt session was postponed and we were send to exam rooms where we filled up application forms and then the test started.

As you all know the exam has 2 sections.

1. Analytical and logical reasoning part consisting of 30 qusetions 40 minutes there were at first

i) 5 figure puzzles
ii) 5 DI questions(it was exclusive in our college, it was a network figure with weighted edges)
iii) 5 Data sufficiency
iv) 5 puzzles(like family type)
v) 5 syllogisms(3 premise)
vi) 5 puzzles again (for this section practice from "Quantitative Aptitude" by R.S.Aggarwal and even "Verbal & Non Verbal" reasoning by the same author, and go through Freshersworld.com)

2. Verbal reasoning consisting of 40 questions 35 minutes

It was a huge paper, two big passages will be there so try to answer them at last moreover there were 8 theme detection type passages and sentence correction questions etc.
For this prepare yourself from "Objective General English"by Agarwal, Barron's GRE English and Freshersworld.com.

190 students sat for the aptitude from which 81 cleared and finally 78 people got selected and I was one of them.

The HR panel of mine was not at all cool Infosys person. When I entered the room,

I wished him good afternoon.

HR: Wished me back and told to sit down.
HR: Tell me about yourself?

Me: Told
HR: How do you solve problems?

Me: Told (with interruptions from his side like his phone, he calls someone else etc)
HR: Can you tell me again what you just told?

Me: Told.
HR: How do you plan things?

Me: Told
HR: How are you as an organizer?

Me: Told.
HR:Okay you may leave now

Me: Its been a pleasure talking to you sir.
HR: Oh, yes yes.

I didn't excepted this type of HR from Infosys. I was a bit tensed, we got our results on 11th Janunary and then I got relieved.

You can also crack Infosys if you have a passion for this company and you need a bit of luck also.
