 INFOSYS PAPER ON 28TH FEBRUARY AT GHAZIABAD

HI FRIENDS,I AM VARUN GUPTA  (an INFOSIAN) FROM AKGEC AND INFOSYS CAME IN OUR COLLEGE ON 28TH FEB,2008 AND IT WAS FOR OUR CAMPUS ONLY. THERE IS ELEMENT OF FEAR IN EVERYBODY’S  MIND AS ITS NATURAL AS WHEN IT COMES INFOSYS MIND FRIENDS ITS REALLY BIG OPPORTUNITY AS ITS BEST COMPANY IN INDIA. SO JUST TRY TO DO YOUR LEVEL BEST. APPEAR FOR INFOSYS WITH FULL PREPARATION. IN OUR COLLEGE 345 STUDENTS APPEARED FOR WRITTEN AND 127 CLEARED WRITTEN AND FINALLY 118 WERE SELECTED.
I GUIDE YOU WITH SOME PREPARATION TIPS YOU WANT FOR INFOSYS PAPER:
There will be two rounds:
Written exam          
H.R. Interview

WRITTEN EXAM CONTAINS:
1. Verbal and Non-Verbal reasoning part (30 questions  in 40 minutes)
You practice following topics by heart:
A) Dice or Cube
B) Data sufficiency
C) Data interpretation
D) Syllogism-Logic
E) Puzzle test
F) Deriving Conclusion
G) Arithmetical reasoning

2. English part(40 questions in 35 minutes)
You practice following topics:
A) Prepositions
B) Tenses
C) Agreement to verb

TIPS:  Try to leave passage and try to do rest part of English paper as you can do rest part in less time and after finishing it come back to do passage.There will be no word meanings so you need not waste time on that.Keep in mind friends first your English copy will be checked if you through with cut off than your other copy will be checked so try clear both cut offs. You will be given nonverbal & verbal paper first and after 40 minutes they will give you English paper. So you will get both papers back to back……

BOOKS REQUIRED:
1. VERBAL & NON VERBAL REASONING BY R.S. AGGARWAL(take Revised edition)
2. WREN MARTIN FOR ENGLISH PART(It’s a book for high school)

H.R. INTERVIEW TIPS:
DON’T LIE IN INTERVIEW, IF YOU DO SO H.R. PERSON WILL CATCH YOU……
PREPARE FOLLOWING:
A) About yourself( try to include more points which shows your characteristics)
B) Hobbies( here you have to be strong , mention those hobbies in which u feel you are perfect as they will ask you questions on that)
C) Strengths( mention those strengths on which you can quote examples)
D) Weakness (don’t mention in your CV , if asked than tell that weakness which sounds like a strength and is positive for you and company)
E) Co-curricular( prepare those on which you  having some proof and you are good at)
F) Achievements/Awards (form 10th onwards what you have achieved can be mentioned but keep in mind that don’t mention more than four achievements)
G) General knowledge questions (like president name, finance minister……)

TIPS:   Prepare a question to be asked by you from H.R. person at last he will give you chance to ask him anything so this is great opportunity in your hand so prepare a question for it).

Just keep in mind communication skills is what they are looking for so keep your voice at correct audible level. And don’t panic just take your time and than reply to questions of H.R. person.
