Aptitude - Puzzle
Hi friends am Varunjith.P.P.(MCA )
I have given Infosys test on 28 may 2006 in christ college.more than 1000 candidates wr thr and
they shortlisted around 140.now am waiting for the final result.
Written test
friends u can easily crack infy if u prepard but i was not prepard well and i was litle confused whether to attend interview or not.but then i thought to take the test
but by gods grace i did well and got thru the test.
if u r well prepare u can eaily crack infy bcoz thrs no technical round or GD.so be prepare.and if ur not prepard plz dont attend and spoil the chance.
written test was quiet easy and the pattern was same as before.that is 10 puzzle(1hr) and english 45q in 30 min .
i did all the 10 puzzles but one was went wrong actually i did it correctly but while i was writing in the answer paper i enterd wrongly.
but even if ur anwer is wrong ,they wil go thru the steps.so please write the steps neatly and correctly.
do ur roughwrk in the right side.
friends please forgive me ,i dont remem all the questions.but i think it will help u to understand the type
Questions
1. question related to a race.dennis beat jim,jack beat jim.samantha beaten by jim and louis..somthinglike its repeated from prev.
its easy answer is Dennis.
2. question related to cycling .1/5th is infront of me,and 3/5th of total behind me then total number of people.(reptd)
very easy answer 30
3.lady went to market and spent 1/2 of mone to backery and 2to begger.again 1/2 of that spent in buchershop and gave 5 more..somthing lik eand last5 in her hand.
its also easy answer is 64
4.question relatd to cricket.sachin score 78 more than...very easy -u can do it.
5.one tempertature problem .litle tough.
equation t=mx+c
so find out x and then substitute x value .and m=diff of min value/diff of max val
u can do it
6.a clock problem.2min fast in clock another one min slow.so when is the one hr diff very easy=answer 20hr
7.a cube painted with all surface and cut in to 6.thats total 27 small cube then
no of 3sde painted,=8
2side painted=12
one side paintd-6
no side paintd-1 very easy
8.logical reasoning relatd to a speak english,french then who speak wat...need little concentration
9.to find avg velocity .
10. a series was given..answer 4
similar series answer 11
Guys be careful while doing english .its very easy but u should be fast enough to attnd all qstions.
Interview
friends no need to worry,HR people r very cool.
so be confident.
fisrt of al they asked me tel me abt ur self .please dont say ur name father name n al(deppnds on hr)coz thats already wth them
so tel about ur streangth.hobby etc.
then they asked me some usual hr questions .
i answerd evrything.
finally he asked me 3 simple questions.
puzzle
1.he drew a line and asked me 2 divide it into 5 equal parts.
take a piece of paper n measure the length of that line then fold it by keeping a little outside.then the extra paper fold back and adjust it towrds the middle of the rest.and again fold the rest in to half.u will get 5 equal part.this is one approach.its up to u.
2.asked me the uses of water bottle(bisillery like aquafina) aprt from the normal use.
1.paper waight 2.flower pot 3.cut it and can use it as astray,top part can be use for pouring water or oil in to anothr.
5.can be used as toy u can say somthing like can be used for itching .
3.he asked me to measure the water he consumed .two way..take water in a litre and then pour water in to btle.
and we can measr but he askd me to use othr bottle then i pour water in to that and some i managd and convincd.
so friends the answer does not matter.the approach is important.
friends but still i am not satisfied.but still am waiting for the intervw result.hoping for the best.
dont forget to keep formalities.so friends wrk out prevoius papr and do as much pzzles as u can .
u can crack infy ,its very easy.so gud luck.al the best.
