This would help you for your preparation
IBM has 4 rounds for their selection
IBM first round was on line aptitude test
In aptitude test 18 questions from number series and other topics common aptitude topics
Before I appearing this tests I started to my preparation for different sites .I went through some papers in this site, so I knew Number series questions would be asked. Concentrate on series with 8-9 terms and not on short series with 5-6 terms. Practice on the different patterns which could be asked. This section Can make the difference.
and other aptitude topics Ratio and Proportions ,Time , Speed & Distance,. Percentages. Profit,Loss & Discount. Time & Work. These are important topics concentrate these topics
Out of 600 students 80 were selected-short listed for communication test on the same day
Second round was on line communication tests around 22 questions
It was easy business letters and other verbal ability questions
among 80 45 were selected
The last round was Technical and HR
The HR panel was very friendly.
Each Panel had one member. The interview lasted from 5 min - 45 min. I literally mean 5 min.
All they see is your communication skills, be prepared with FAQ HR questions.
They make ask Technical, just to judge your communication skills nothing more.
Be prepared with whatever is their in your RESUME and even Project.
Case Study questions may be asked, and Y not Core in all. Make sure not to mention during the interview regarding your higher studies.
Tell them you are ready to work anywhere within INDIA.
Prepare few questions like
Whats your role when you join?
Work culture at IBM?
Why IBM is called BIG BLUE?
WHY there are 8 bars in its logo ?
The level of difficulty goes down as you clear each round. I am proud to be an IBMer. :-)
Just be positive and confident about yourself. Your score in academics doesn't matter. Only under rare case , you may get rejected here.
And finally out of 40, 38 were selected!
All the best!! :).
