Linde Candidate Experience

Linde recruitment experience shared by pramit  in MSIT Kolkata

Hello friends,

I am Pramit, student of Techno India, Salt Lake in my 7th semester of Electrical Engg.

Let me share my experience of the very first job interview of my life in Linde India this August.

The venue was MSIT, Kolkata and we had to reach there by 9 am in the morning.

The day began with a short PPT by the company's HR followed up by a technical aptitude test (questions mostly comprising of Electrical Machines and Power Systems).

Results were soon declared and I made it to the next round which was Group Discussion. My topic was 'Indian Recession'-causes and remedies. I spoke well, proved my leadership qualities and thus got through to the next round which was Personal Interview-1(technical).

The interviewer was clever enough to spot my long hairs..(obviously a bad impression). However I managed to answer the questions asked by him and nullify that bad impression caused by my hair. The questions were from the Industrial Training, Power Transformers, Induction Motors speed-torque charac.) soft starter, Star-delta Starter, etc. apart from the pretty obvious "introduce yourself" question.

Results were declared at night and conveyed to me by TPO and I had made it to the final round of interview Personal Interview-2) to be held in Taratala in the Linde India headoffice. 4 of us(EE students) were fed in their canteen(FREE OF COST!!!) before we were called one after the another..I was still thinking of the chicken sandwich they gave us to eat..even before going for the interview...anyways..it was just not my day...I fumbled which I normally don't do (maybe it was the chicken sandwich which was playing in my mind) and couldn't answer simple questions on transformers...I was wait-listed while the other 3 got selected.

With a burning heart I would like to give a word of advice to my readers to prepare themselves well and always stay focused till you get the job........
Thank you,
Wish you all the best
