About CAT 2013


The Common Admission Test (CAT) is the entrance exam for more than 160 management institutes across India, including the 13 IIMs. The written exam is conducted every year in the month of around October-Novermber.

 

CAT is considered as the most efficient of the competitive exams to judge the potential of the examinees who want to make a career in business administration.

Common Admission Test (CAT) 2013 dates have been announced on April 30, 2013 by Soumitra Roy, the MD of Prometric India, which partners with the IIMs to conduct the test. CAT 2013 will be held from October 16 to November 11, 2013. The test window has been moved back by five days, compared to last year when it started on October 11.

 

The voucher sale window will be open from 5th August 2013 To 24th September 2013 while the registration window is from 5th August 2013 To 26th September 2013.  There has been no mention of the test pattern yet. Four new testing centres – Surat, Udaipur, Trivandrum and Vijayawada have been announced, increasing the number to 40 locations across the country.
 

Discipline is very important. Plan your preparation, maintain a fixed schedule and stick to it. 

 


Besides 13 IIMs who consider only valid CAT scores, there are other 106 top B schools who will accept CAT scores for their MBA programs.
