TCS PAPER ON 7TH OCTOBER AT HYDERABAD

Hai friends,
This is Swathi.CH from Jyothishmathi Institute of Technology and Science, Karimnagar.I have appeared for TCS offcampus at hyderabad in OCT-2007.Iam very happy that I got selected in TCS.Thanks for Freshersworld and every one who guided in my success.I want to xplain TCS selection procedure.

Here there will be 4 rounds.

1)Written Test
2)Technical Interview
3)Managerial Round
4)HR 
1)Written Test:

This was not online test.There will be 3 sets, namely X,Y,Z.I got the set Y.Just be prepare previous papers thoroughly and GRE Barrons 12 Edition for Reasoning ,then u can easily get through this round.Iam giving all the questions wat I remembered.

i dont remember remaining questions but all from previous papers

3)Critical Reasoning

Here 3 passages will be given and 12 questions.All the passages are frm GRE Barrons !2th Edition last 5 model papaers.

1) Passage relating Hindi Telugu English French German known by A B C D E (Easy one)
2) Passage based on Museum's and

3) Passage based on Bridge , tunnel and Highway

 

After 4 days they gave the results.They selected 2200 members.I got the interview slot on 27th October 9 .00am.

 

2)TECHNICAL Intw:

 

First they checked our certificates and then they called for intw.

I waited for 1 hour and and they called me.The interviewer was very cool.Just be confident. And cool.

They are checking only the basics.They are asking the subs which u mentioned in ur CV.So Keep only the subjects in which ur perfect.

They mainly asks questions on project.

 

He asked me abt project,C concepts like

1)Tell me abt pointers,

2)wat are the advantages of pointers,

3)What is recursion?

4)What is advantage of recursion?

5)In java,what is garbage collector?

6)In Oracle,Wat is triggers?

7)What are the DML commands?

8)Hw we can remove a duplicate row in table?

9)Write a program for selection sort?

 

After 20 mins they announced the results and they gave a form in which we have to fill our details. After sum time they called for MR.

 

3)MR:

Here also they asked me abt project.and some logical puzzles.Bt they are very easy.And they gave some situations and asked our reaction.

I got selected in this round and next day was my HR.

 

4)HR:

Frnds,If u get through MR,Then 90% u are in.In this round they are checking ur communication skills and confidence levels.

Once again He asked me abt project,so frds be thorough with ur academic project.

I asked him query that iam interested in social service.Is TCS providing such opportunity?

 

On Nov 8th , the displayed  results in TCS portal. Totally they selected 722 members. And iam very happy that I got selected in India’s Top company.
