I am Arup persuing my engineering ( 4th yr) CSE from KALYANI GOVERNMENT ENGINEERING COLLEGE(W.B.) TCS conducted a campus recruitment drive in our college campus on 2nd January 2009
About 220 students appeared for the online written test , about 170 students ables to clear the written test and finally 115 students make it to TCS.
Firstly there will b a PPT(Pre Placement Talk) by TCS executives ,pay full attention at PPT & write down the important facts & figures about TCS as it will b help full in HR, then the aptitude test will start.
There were 3 rounds:-
1) Written test
2) Technical Round
3) HR round
But there was only 2 rounds in our college...1written 2. Tech+H.R
1.ENGLISH
In case of English, the paper was very very standard. Most of the antonyms & synonyms were really new ,i mugged many but it didnt helped me allot, but i will also suggest that go through different paper. U have to use urIQ to solve most of them, i will suggest dont waste extra energy on mugging up anto. & syno.,It depends also on ur luck.
Synonyms & antonyms:-
Most of the words were new, so i dont remember, I got only 1 common some friends of mine got 5-12 common
fill in the blanks. It was really tough, i really dont remember, but dont worry much as there r many set of paper, u may get a easy one, as told by friends that few of them got easy ones.I got on managemnt procedure
2. QUANTITATIVE
PLEASE GO THROUGH previous papers...the pattern was same and all qs were same. Dont waste time for this section preparation, just go throgh the papers, this is the most scoring section of all 3 sections.Im giving some of mine questions.

III. CRITICAL REASONING
there would be 3 passages and 4 questions each(total 12 quest)
prepare 4m barron and agarwal...i didnt get any common bt all were easy...my some frnds got common

My Technical & HR was combined, there was only 1 member in my panel..total 12 panel came in our college....
Then i was called...............
I opened the door and took permission to come in..............

My interview was around 12-15 mins.
So this was my personal experience, and at 9.30 pm the selected candidates name was declared and my name was there...... I was really very Happy then
