TCS PAPER ON 9th MARCH

Hello friends, This is Yogendra.
TCS had visited on 9 th of March. I was selected by God's grace.Here, I would like to share my experiences.

From our college 283 appeared for test, Out of those 96 were shortlisted & 70 were selected.Due to large no. of students they took test online & offline.I appeared for offline.Pattern were same,but no restriction was there in utilising a particular time on particular section.That's why I would always suggest to go with offline , if u have a chance to choose. Usually, TCS conducts online test.

TCS aptitude consists of 3 sections.NO -VE MARKING.NO SECTIONAL CUT-OFF.
1. Verbal
2.Quantitative
3.Critical  Reasoning

1. Verbal :
10 synonyms
10 antonyms
use correct sentence & compltete paragraph : 
a paragraph regarding the UNIVERSITIES 
Reading Comprehenssion
a paragraph related to Black people, how they fought for there rights (U might find in GRE 12 th edition)

It is difficult to prepare this section within 1-2  months. I would suggest to go with GRE high freq.words & word appaered form last papers.


2.Quantitative  
Just go through previous papers on this site.No need to refer any book also. Only,Work , Boats& strams chapters from R.S.Agarwal.
But solve maximum papers ,I msure u can solve almost all in test.
 
3.Critical  Reasoning
This section is fully based on the critical reasoning part in model test in GRE  Barron's 12 th edition.
I got three problems with 4 sub-questions each
1. about various ways to go a particular place like thr.Tunnel,on highway....
2. red & yellowcommunities - marrage  problem
3. a problem that can be solved by venn diagram  .....it was too complecated
 
JUST GET 20%,90%,40% CORRECT ANSWERS , U WILL BE  SHORTLISTED.
 
About the interviews,
first was TI  & after that HR.
for TI, 
Just be confident, prepare ur basic subjects. Revise all the project work & paper presented. I was asked about my project work & paper presented.Go thr. web of TCS ,Know basic things,current trends,recent programs,products &services.
 
for HR,
prepare basic questions.....describe urself,tell strenghths,weeknesses,hobbies....
