"The job interview is the prerequisite to getting the job, An interview is conducted to have an insight into the attitude of the candidate to life in general and the chosen profession in particular."

The process of answering and asking questions for you involves two important and sometimes contradictory considerations:
1. Get the job: You must sufficiently impress hiring officials both professionally and personally so you will be offered the job.
2. Get useful information: You must acquire critical information on whether or not you wish to join the organization. In other words, the employer must also sufficiently impress you before you will accept a job offer.
Apart from the educational qualification what are the other skill that make one readily employable? The first and foremost is the attitude and aptitude. People must have a hunger to learn be innovative, willing to experiment and find solution. They should be flexible and willing to travel for any project related work. The candidate definitely be a team player, other skills are analytical and logical reasoning skills, ability to understand a customer problem and finding a solution for the same communication and social skill like the ability to interact well with people, ability to understand their points and ability to explain the solution well etc..

Special Tip: One of the secrets to effectively answering interview questions is to keep your responses short and sweet...30 to 60 seconds max. If your interviewer wants more information, they'll ask you. Providing too much information, or talking in circles, puts you at risk of being rejected. The 2 reasons candidates talk too much are nervousness, and not preparing for a job interview.

Special Tip: Ask the company for the names and titles of all those who will be interviewing you. Look up their profiles on LinkedIn and their company website to get as much intelligence about them as possible. Maybe one of these managers wrote a recent article, gave a speech, or was interviewed by the press. This knowledge could give you keen insights into their burning issues, pet peeves, and personality type. This awareness will not only boost your self-confidence, it will also allow you to share your specific strengths and accomplishments that speak to his/her issues. Talk about scoring Brownie points.

What sort of criteria are you using to decide the organization you will work for?

Most importantly, I am looking for a company that values quality , ethics, and teamwork. I would like to work for a company that hires overachievers

 

Ans: The WORST thing you can say is "Not much." or "Nothing."

 

RESEARCH the company first, whether you are applying at a Fortune 500 Company. Do a search online. Look at their website. Find out who they are, what they do and why you'd want to work there. The WORST thing you can do is showing up at an interview knowing nothing about the company!

 

Once you know about the company you can answer this question more easily (for example: "I've read about how this company's growth is on the rise and also how involved it is in the local community.")

"Irrelevant" Questions Asked in interviews

(It is very amusing to hear interviewees taking of the relevance or irrelevance of a given question in an interview. Every questions comes to you with an objective. you may not always be able to understand why a particular question is posted to you. But the interviewer will have some objective in mind. Just answer the question with no trace of suspicion or doubt or surprise or shock on your face. Remember that the interviewer is trying to assess you based on how you react to situations. There is nothing like an irrelevant question in an interview. Look at each question as an opportunity to fare better in the interview.)

You are given a cotton bud, an empty bottle and a lighter. Design a rocket and make it fly ?

How will you cut a cake into 8 pieces using just three cuts?

You need to arrange an industrial tour for 30 members. how will you plan it?

"You will realize that after reading all these questions you need to prepare yourself for the job interview. You need to know and be able to clearly express your job skills are and also your personality skills.
Your job skills and experience should be reasonably static. It's mean by, if you have one years experience in a role or skill you cannot suddenly claim to have 5 years experience. However with the personality traits the answers are totally subjective. The interviewer does not know whether you are enthusiastic, energetic, a team-player or possess 100 other professional behaviors. It is entirely up to you to convince them."
