Corporate social responsibility(CSR)

MECON is engaged in rural/community development activities in the nearby surroundings since 60’s. In the year 1976, a dedicated group was formed and named “Community Development Committee (CDC)” and were assigned to look after the activities of “Corporate Social Responsibility”. Today, there is a separate department named “CSR Cell”, which in association with CDC is carrying out the CSR activities. The activities of community development is carried out for the development & welfare of SCs/STs/OBCs/Minorities & Weaker Sections” of the society in slum areas/backward areas of Ranchi & nearby villages and adjoining Khunti district. The major components of CSR program are as follows :
